I dyed my hair for the first time today to a dark purple and the purple barely shows. I want a lighter shade of purple, so how long should I wait to redye it? Should I buy a lighter shade of purple?

It is recommended that you wait at least 4 weeks before you re-dye your hair. Most specialists suggest waiting 6 weeks before re-dying your hair.
