I would suggest trying one of these methods first to see if they work to remove the color dye from your hair.
- Use equal parts of dandruff shampoo and baking soda to wash your hair. This will remove a lot of the hair dye color out of your hair. You might need to do this 3 or 4 times to take the dye out so you can re-dye your hair brown.
- There is a quicker method to remove the dye from your hair. Just add a few drops of dishwashing soap to your shampoo and wash your hair. After you finish rinsing your hair, apply a deep conditioner. Again, this could take 3 or 4 washing to remove the black dye or even lighten the black dye so you can dye your hair again.
- Crush vitamin C tablets and add warm water to the crushed tablets. Apply this to your hair and let it sit in your hair for an hour. Afterwards, wash your hair with shampoo and use a deep conditioner. This will also remove the black dye color from your hair. You just need to lighten this dye enough so that you can dye your hair brown. This also might take 2 or 3 times to lighten your hair.
- Another good hair dye remover is vinegar and water. You will use equal parts of the vinegar and water solution. Apply this to your hair and cover your head with a plastic bag. Let this sit in your hair for a hour to start. Check your hair to make sure the color is being removed. After you are satisfied rinse your hair and wash it with shampoo. Afterwards, apply a deep conditioner to your hair and let this site in your hair for 10 minutes before rinsing.
These methods are safer to remove the hair dye from your hair considering you want to dye your hair again. Use hair dye removers can damage your hair. I would try and stay away from these products if you plan on dying your hair brown.
