I just dyed my hair yesterday to a lighter brown. I had blonde highlights in my hair before. And now it looks like I have grey highlights on light brown hair. When can I dye my hair again to get rid of them?

Wait a month and deep-condition weekly
Right now I'm sort of doing the same thing as you are with your hair. I have highlighted many strands over the last few days, as it's something I do in sections because of the length. I want to apply a permanent toner to the "pale yellow rusty colored" strands that they are now because they were highlighted, as I look like an orange'ish, yellowish striped clown right now, haha.
My husband said when he saw me the first day I worked on it, "why did you do that to your hair"? I said to him to not even look at me for the next couple of days because this is a project I'm working on, haha
I'm finishing it today. Now, my hair is in good condition, even though I lifted/bleached out color by lightening many strands, and I am a tad concerned about breakage, as I've had that happen in the past.
It is best to condition your hair as much as you can before putting on more peroxide and ammonia products but, if your hair is in really good condition, you could do it sooner. Only you would know the condition of your hair. Experts definitely do recommend waiting a month, and that's so your hair will have time to recover from the last application of peroxide products, with also having time to condition it several times so you're not taking any chances of breakage.
When I was in my 20s I over processed my hair with many applications of bleach and dyes, and a week of that treatment,
my hair began breaking off all by itself. It broke all the way to 1" off of my scalp (which that was the new growth) so that wasn't affected, but all the rest was. My hair was so short, I couldn't even put a curling iron around it. I guess today I would be in style with the punker look, but it wasn't the style then.
Our hair is strong, but extremely delicate when we put these coloring or bleaching products on it.
