So today, I went to a hair salon and told the hair stylist that I wanted a blonde balayage and he gave me horrible blond highlights instead. I had him tone the top to my natural color so it looked more like what I originally wanted, but it still looks horrible. I want to know if I can remove the blonde dye from my hair or how long I have to wait before getting my hair dyed back to its original state. Also, if I went back to a different salon and got what I really wanted, would that damage my hair even more?

Dont go to another salon until the owner of this salon fixes the mess or refunds your money. Once that is done, wait a month before you dye again and deep condition weekly.
thanks for the advice :)
Such a catch 22...if you talk to the original salon owner about what happened, he/she should make it right, but do you want them coming back to your hair with dye...even if it was safe to re-dye right away.
I guess it depends. Is your stylist the owner? If not. The owner should know what happened and he/she should make it right (and hopefully be better skilled).
Be kind and but firm of what would "make it right" be for you, like a full refund, a deep condition treatment so you can prep for a future dye fix, just a future fix or all of the above.
If they don't make it right for you, kindly let them know you will tell all of your friends of your experience. If they are good biz folks it won't come to that.
Good luck!
thanks! i'll definitely take your advice.
oh and btw the person who did my hair, was, in fact, the owner of the salon.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Before you proceed to go to another salon it is important to get a refund from the salon that messed up your hair. Once this is done then you can wait for a month before dying your hair again.
There are some dye removers that you can try to use in your hair to remove the dye that was added. I shouldn't try much of anything else except to deep condition your hair so it will be ready for you to dye again.
okay, thanks! I'll be sure to confront him.
