My puppy is 7 months old. The weather is getting cold and he is very small. I am trying to re-train him to go on the pee pee pad, but he is stubborn. I have tried dog litter and I have tried a towel with the spray at the pet store. I am away for a while and would really like it if he goes inside on a pee pee pad or something. Please help me with advice.

Training a puppy to use pee pads.
Step 1
Put him on a leash.
Step 2
Take him too the pee pad every 2 hours.
Step 3
Tell him to go pee.
Step 4
Wait for him to go if he does praise him and give a treat.
Step 5
Be persistent stay on schedule.
Take him to the pad every couple of hours and wait for him to go. Praise him and give him a treat when he does.
I am a firm believer in crate training for pups. The basic idea is a dog wont wee where he lives so when he comes in the house he goes in his crate which is only big enough for him to turn around in.After in his crate for 1 or 2 hours let him out to go only outside ,wee and back in his crate, after a few days of this ( keep consistent dont stop the pattern)you will not only see him following procedure but happy about it and happy to go in his house( crate ,kennel)consistency is the key and being inside his house is soothing to pups and makes them feel secure .
