The checks are coming to your Mother or guardian for your benefit. Therefore I doubt your working will affect your benefits. Go to the social security website or call.
I don't believe there is a limit on income for survivors ss, I never was punished and I worked 2 jobs and construction all summer and weekends. My mom and step dad started a business with his retirement and saving while my brother and I paid all the bills.
