Recoloring Hair?

I used Wella Charm product powder to lightened my hair on Saturday and it did not take well. The ends of my hair were still dark. So I retouch the ends again for about 10 minutes on Sunday using the same product just to lightened it more.

That night I colored my hair with plum brown using a demi semi-permanent hair color. I didn't achieve the color I wanted, it came out too dark. So my question to you is can I re-color my hair just a little lighter using a wine color, something a little lighter, one day after coloring it the night before? Can I use a permanent color or should I use semi-permanent? Please help!
