Reconstituting Paint?

I re-opened a tin of paint, but all there is is a very large lump. How can I use the paint?

You could bring the can to place that you bought it and have them put it back in their paint mixer, that might bring back the right consistency. They may be willing to do that even at a place other than where you bought the paint if they aren't busy.
