My Shih Tzu puppy is four and half months old and fully vaccinated. On Sunday night she had her food and after few minutes she vomited all of it up, then she slept. The next morning she was just not having food and sitting calmly and just walking in the house. In the evening at 4 she did her 1st stool with a bad smell, but no blood. Immediately I took her to the vet, who started treatment with fluids and antibiotics.
After coming home she had drops of water. The next morning, Tuesday, she had green/black sticky stool. We took her to the vet and again he gave fluids and antibiotics. She felt better and came home and drank some water herself. In the evening again we took her to the vet for fluids and antibiotics. After coming home she had green/black sticky stool and vomited one time.
She is sleeping more and standing and walking around. We are still taking her to vet twice a day for treatment. While the process is going on she is only vomiting. Tomorrow is her 4th day of treatment.

Just keep following the vet directions! Pups are like people with individual recovery periods. Patience, love and proper care, which you are doing, help get and keep them on the road to recovery.
Prayers all around!
It can take several weeks to recover from parvo. So what the vet tells you
it varies for dogs but don't expect the dog to be completely out of the woods in at least 2 weeks. Even after fully 'recovered' she needs time to recover her strength and rebuild her digestive system which is basically destroyed by the disease.
remember with parvo, like will all other digestive plagues (IE cholera, dsetery in humans) the biggest danger is DEHYDRATION.
It sounds like you caught this early on and had her taken to the vet for treatments. It is good she is fully vaccinated. This will really help her fight off parvo and get better.
The length of time your dog will be sick will all depend on the dog and how well it is responding to the treatments. I had one dog that took two weeks to start showing signs of improvement and another one who only took less than a week.
The parvo virus can spread so easily and you can pick this up on your shoes and bring it home with you. Just keep following the vets treatments and the dog should start showing signs of improvements in a few more days.
Dogs who are vaccinated for parvo and still get the disease usually dont get as bad a case. It sounds like your Vet is doing a good job. I think your dog will begin to improve before too long. Recovery time really varies. I have seen it take a week to a month. And often to fully recover takes longer than that.
