You could take it to the Boys and Girls Clubs, or a senior citizen center.
Do they have writing In them?
If you are referring to a handwritten note, the answer is no. They are, however, signed by the person who sent them. As well, they would have an inprinted greeting of congratulations.

I am seeing this a little late, but I will share a suggestion. I have had luck selling old cards like you are describing on eBay as lots of paper ephemera. Etsy is also another place to sell. You may not make a fortune, but you can get them into the hands of an artist or crafts person who will turn them into something amazing!! It will also help with writing up the listing!
