My 12 year old Chihuahua has been licking this bump she has on her thigh. It bled a little, but now it's a scar. What could it be?

This could be a bump that is harmless or it could actually need to be taken off the dog. No matter what you need to go to the vet and have this looked at. This is for the safety of the dog. When dogs get older they can develop bumps on their skin and at times they have to be removed.
This should not be taken lightly just in case. Take to a Vet to make sure! Better to be safe!
My dog had a similar bump. It did turn out to be malignant but I had gotten her in in time and removal was quick and easy.
It looks like an abscess that burst. Do you remember if it smelled or ran? I agree to have it checked so you won't have any regrets.
I know that a vet is expensive, but I do suggest with things like this that you get it looked at sooner, rather than later. Most times on dogs lumps and bumps are nothing, but my sister dog just had 2 growths/issues like this that needed surgery so I suggest getting them looked out to rule out something serious.
