We just purchased a microfiber sofa and love seat. The static electricity is out of control! Does anyone know what I can do about this? I called the manufacturer and they said they've never heard of this problem and they had no suggestions for me. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Fill a spray bottle with 9 parts water and 1 part fabric softener. Spray the couch lightly.
I wiped my sectional couch down with 2 GAIN brand dryer sheets, it works for about 3-4 days each time i do it. I notice the static electricity is extremely bad in winter months.
Would this also work if you had microfiber bedding sheets or comforters, and how often would you spray that solution?
