I am wanting to refresh my flagstone entryway floor. Do you paint it or just reapply polyurethane?

Stain for stone is nice!
You could do both!
What look are you going for?
I have seen on Pinterest where people sponge paint them, whitewash them, paint them, stain them, and just clean and seal them.
Whatever you decide, be sure to use products especially made for the stone you have. The wrong product can ruin the job.
Most people suggest two coats of whatever seal you use (either on its own, over paint or stain) especially if it is in a high traffic area).
This is a porous material so it needs extra care.
Post back with photos! Happy reno!
The rest of my floors on this level are going 2 be whitewashed LPV as I have dark trim, cabinets and doors all throughout the stone is in good shape its a red/brownish color Ive gotten all the old sealer off Im leaning towards leaving it but just re-sealing and polyurethaning it. Will post pictures when the other floors are finished thanks 2 all.
Before you reapply polyurethane you will need to properly prepare your floor. This means sanding some of the older polyurethane off the floor and not just applying the new product on top of the old product. You will have must better results if you use some steal wool to try and get off the older product on your floor before adding a new product to the floor.
