Received as a wedding gift over 40 years ago, this retro breadbox was looking its age. It is still useful and in great shape, we wanted to modernize it.
Total Time: 2 hours
Supplies:
- spray paint, including contrasting color
- dish soap
- vinegar
- water
- screw driver
- transparent tape
- soap pad
Steps:
- Clean with a solution of dish soap, vinegar, and water. A soap pad easily erased the decals.
- Remove the drawer pulls with a screw driver.
- Cover the labels with transparent tape.
- Spray paint the entire box and each drawer-front.
- Paint each drawer pull with a contrasting color.
- Allow paint to dry completely then remove tape from labels.

This is beautiful! Great job!:) I love it when people re-do things that would otherwise be discarded.
