What can I do for jaw pain from my dentures until I can get to a dentist? I really can't handle another day like this. I've had my dentures for 8 years and haven't experienced any major pain like this before. Please help with any advice that will work.

If you are having jaw pain, it is probably caused by your dentures not fitting like they did before. Here are a few tips that might help you find some relief before you go to the dentist.
You can try using a clove in your mouth to relieve the pain. Clove is one of the most effective home remedies for tooth pain. Place the clove at the back of your mouth where you are experiencing jaw pain. You can leave it there or bite down on it to get some of the juices flowing. If you chose not to bite down on it the juices will gradually be released. As the clove starts to release the juices you will feel numbness in this area.
You can also use apple cider vinegar to reduce the pain in your dentures and jaw. Just swish some apple cider vinegar in your mouth. You will need to add this to a glass of water to rinse your mouth with. Repeat this two or three times a day.
Hydrogen peroxide is another great home remedy for sore jaws and gum problems. You will take a cap full of the hydrogen peroxide and use this to rinse your mouth with. Keep it in your mouth for two to three minutes before spitting it out. Repeat this two or three times a day.
My father uses a warm salt bath for his mouth every 4 hours. He says its extremely effective.
