I need your help. Soon, our classes will start (I still have 2 weeks) and I'm worried about my face. My pimples are spreading and I don't know what I should do to get rid of them. Please help me. It's a really big shame if I go to school with these pimples. Thanks a lot.

Bless your heart. I'm so sorry you're going through such a hard time. I'm 54 and still get blemishes from hormones and other things. I found that regular anti-bacterial hand cleaner gives me good, pretty fast results. Faster than two weeks. I just put it on my blemishes at least twice a day, morning and night. I stay at home so when I do I put it on whenever I think of it.
I've had good luck with this. But the only way this hasn't worked is if I've squeezed them first before the anti-bacterial cleanser. Then it seems to take twice as long as them to heal. I have no idea why this is.
Clearasil makes a good cleanser that's clear blue, and says something on the pump bottle like "guaranteed results in three days", sorry I wish I could think of the name. I love this cleanser. Another thing I do with the Clearasil is wash my face, dry it gently, then slather the same Clearasil all over my face and rub it into the skin, morning and night. After a week or two my skin begins to peel and the dead skin comes off and unclogs the pores. I don't have sensitive skin so watch it if you do.
I do exfoliate. If you don't want to buy something over the counter, take some regular table sugar and mix it with the Clearasil and gently make circular motions all over your skin. I don't have sensitive skin so I'm a little firmer with the scrubbing. Rinse off completely using a lot of lukewarm water. Never use water too warm and never use cold water to wash your face.
Don't touch your face or lean your face on your hands. Become a hand washer. I'm always washing my hands and I have always kept them away from my face. It's a habit, that's all.
Good luck. Prayers are coming your way. It's a shame our society is so concerned with the outside of a person. You sound like a good, sensitive person and that's really important. Yes, I know that people tell you that all the time, but the thing is - it's true.
Your skin will clear up. This site has tons of advice, and many kind people who sincerely want to help. Good luck at school. Search this site. Go to the drug store and buy a jar of Stridex. It is moistened pads of salicylic acid. After washing your face each night, pat all over with a pad. You will be surprised that the acne spot will dry up after a day or two. Cost around $5. (05/24/2010)

Here is a home remedy that a Dr. here in the United States uses. You need: non-coated aspirin, lemon juice, and baking soda.
The aspirin has salicylic acid which helps to remove acne and pimples since it is like a chemical peel. The lemon juice has vitamin C and helps minimize sun damage to your skin. Baking soda works great at the end to neutralize the salicylic acid. (05/25/2010)

You could try using a natural crystal deodorant stick. I haven't tried it myself, but I have read elsewhere that it works wonders and because it's natural it won't harm your skin. (05/25/2010)

I understand what you are going through. I went to the supermarket and got some Gamophen soap. Wash your face thoroughly with soap. It has an antiseptic in it. I buy mine from Cole's or IGA Supermarkets. Use the soap everyday and night, you will find it dries out the pimples and they clear up. I haven't had pimples for a long time now and that's all I use. It depends on if you have dry or oily skin, sensitive or not sensitive.

I had terrible acne as a teenager, I spent all babysitting money on remedies. A man my mom worked with was a sailor and the ship's doctor told him an easy fix, use your own urine. It acts as an astringent, it is sterile, it is free, and it works! Good luck, I know first hand what your going through and it stinks! (05/26/2010)

I have heard that if you mix garlic juice with vinegar and apply it on you face with a cotton ball a few times a day it helps with acne. Also, I used vinegar with water as a toner and I noticed that the acne I had, started drying out so it worked great for me. I hope this helps. (05/26/2010)

Buy a bar of soap called Zote which is very inexpensive. Buy the white bar, not the pink. You can find it at Walmart or any Fiesta Marts. Wash your face with it every day. At night you can leave it on and wash it off in the morning. This has helped my son. (05/26/2010)

I have a dear friend who used to have a constant supply of red spots and pimples all over her face. It really looked bad. She took some nutrition classes and started eating a lot of veggies. She has beautiful skin, and has lost at least 70 pounds besides! She is now beautiful, an absolute knockout, and none of us would ever have dreamed it a year ago. (05/26/2010)

I had acne a lot when I was younger and got a prescription for tetracycline. It works very well. You can get it over-the-counter at pet-supply stores in the tropical fish dept. It's the same dose (250mg. once a day) and works just as well. (06/08/2010)
