I just had a top denture fitted with 7 teeth on it. I have been back to dentist as there is a gap between the palate and the roof of my mouth. There is also a gap between the front gum of the denture and my gum, so it's hard to eat without food getting in these places. I went back to dentist and he said that's because they're a temporary denture and that is nothing he can do until I get new ones made after a few months.

In would inquire about an adjustment. That is a long time to be uncomfortable. Maybe he can recommend a different adhesive
Sounds like whoever made the 'temporary' denture did a very poor job and yours may not be the only case.
I know someone who works where dentures are made and he says there are different 'levels' of work that dentist's request and usually a temporary piece will get low level due to the fact that it is temporary and not as much care is taken when denture is made (cheaper).
I would continue to complain if there is constant pain but as to fit, they may not be able to do very much. Constant removing and cleaning may be necessary and even soft and liquid food may be necessary for the time being.
Of course, if you feel not enough is being done, you can always complain loudly at the reception desk but then there may be repercussions so think about your choices.
