I have lots of cockroaches in my kitchen. Now they are starting to appear in other rooms also.

Clean everything! Seal up any cracks in the walls, etc. where they might be coming in. Don't eat except in designated areas in the house. Then use sticky traps to find out where they are and put down boric acid powder. They will track the powder to the nests and it will kill them. It takes a while, so be patient, but keep up with it and you will find a definite decline in the number of bugs.

www.instructables.com/id/No-More-Roaches/ has a good recipe to get rid of roaches. You can also use the Borax you get in the laundry dept at the store also. Roaches like sweet stuff, this recipe uses flour and syrup, because it makes a paste. You can just mix the Borax and powdered sugar only, if you want a dry powder instead of the paste. Put a small spoon of the dry powder in the back corners inside all your cabinets, corners of floor and along walls, etc. This also works for ants. (10/06/2010)
Purchase Diatomaceous Earth powder from your the hardware or lawn and garden store. Lowes and Home Depot have this product available and it is reasonably inexpensive. Under $10.00 for a nice size bag which will go a long way. This product will kill the roaches within 72 hours, and is safe for pets and children. I always recommend for your own piece of mind to research the product online. I think you will be pleasantly pleased with the outcome. (10/09/2010)
