I have a toothache that has been bothering me for four days now. What can I do to relieve this pain? Everytime I am about to sleep it hurts; so what can I do?

Use cloves until you can get to doctor.
1. Purchase some fresh, whole cloves from your supermarket or health food store. If you have whole cloves in your cupboard, you can use those. However, if they are old they may not be as effective.
2 Chew lightly on two cloves, just enough to crack them a bit. This allows the oil to escape.
3 Place the cloves between your sore tooth and your cheek.
4 Leave the cloves in your mouth for at least 30 minutes or until the pain subsides. This treatment can be used for relief repeatedly until you receive proper medical attention.
Hi! have you been in to see the Dentist? Id make an appt to get in. you want to make sure its not an abcessed tooth or a tooth in need of a crown or root cananl. Try and remember back to when the pain started, were you biting on sometnhing, is it sensitive to hot, cold, biting. is this pain a lingering pain, consistent or a more come and go,be sure to floss on a daily basis to get any excess food out which can lead to irritation, and use mouth rinse, act is specificlly for the teeth and listerine is more for the gums!
I suffered for many years with dental pain. I can tell you I don't smoke, but I always kept a cigarette in my home. You light up, draw in as much as your mouth can hold, and hold it in till you can't anymore. I don't know why it works but it does. Good luck and yes, clove oil is great but a dentist is the best.
Ibuprofin will work great. Like 3 200mg tablets until you can see your dentist.
