How can I get bathtub decals off?
nsd624 from Madison, WI
I had 25 year old bathtub decals in my tub, and I used a product called "The Ultimate Goo Remover". You can find it at Walmart or home improvement stores like Menard's or Home Depot for just a couple dollars. It worked great. (05/03/2006)

I used a hair dryer to get them good and warm and then they peeled off easily. Follow up with lighter fluid or Goo-Gone to remove the last of the glue (05/03/2006)

I used a widiet scraper followed by Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It was about 15 minutes of work. All done.
Ugly stained dated age old apartment tub decals. Gross!!
Heat gun, pliers, 5 minutes with a scrub brush and comet. Took less than 10 min total.
Aimed heat gun about 2 inches above decals (not close enough to melt them !!) till the edges moved under the pliers. Pulled them up slowly using more heat if needed. Liberal app of comet or other abrasive with a bit of water and a scrub brush finished it off.
