Can someone please tell me how to remove black scuff marks on the floor?

You can erase them with your own footwear. Just use the soles of your runners while wearing them. Gently "buff" the scuff marks and they will disappear. I do this at work and believe it or not, my boss thinks, I work hard at removing the scuff marks. (08/27/2008)

Take a tennis ball and rub them off with it. At the schools they use one on the end of a stick and rub the marks off. I'm assuming the marks were made by rubber or black plastic from tennis shoes, chair wheels, etc. (08/28/2008)

I've used a Dobie pad sponge with nylon mesh on the outside. I think it was 409 I sprayed first and then scrubbed. (08/28/2008)

I've found that the cleanser called Bar Keepers Friend (it's like Comet or one of those, it does the same job, but won't damage things like cleanser will) will take the black marks off of floors without damaging the finish. I've used it on linoleum and wood flooring, and in just a couple of wipes, black spots are gone. (It can also be used on fiberglass, stainless steel sinks, etc.) (08/28/2008)

Take a slice of plain white bread and let it sit out for several hours. Rub this on the scuff marks. They should come right off. (08/28/2008)

I use a art gum eraser. Works every time. (08/30/2008)

Goof-off will work (hardware stores) or charcoal lighter fluid with just a swipe. Won't hurt the finish on a tile or vinyl floor. Don't think I'd try it on wood though. (09/04/2008)
