How can I get the bleach odor out of my washing machine? It has just started smelling strongly in the past month. I've not used bleach in the laundry in over 3 months. Thanks in advance for your help!

I wipe my machine with a rag soaked in Dawn dish detergent and warm water and run a short, hot rinse cycle..this usually does the trick.
If that doesn't work ,I will put 2-3 cups of vinegar and 1/2 to 1 cup baking soda in the machine--when the fizzing stops, then run a short, hot rinse cycle. No clothes of course for either method!
If the problem still occurs, call the maker of the machine and get their feedback!
that's pretty weird - is there a chance it's not actually bleach but some weird fungus or mold? Someties these mildewy things smell like bleach
i would go with the vinegar - if it is bleach, the acid conteracts the base and kills the odour - it's also a good antifunga, FTW
Keep the lid open unless the machine is in use
You can always fill the tub with cold water and add vinegar and baking soda to the water. Let it sit in the tub and then release the water.
