I have a lovely leather sofa that has a dark head grease stain. I have so far used a full bottle of degreaser plus baking soda without success. I have not tried white vinegar as yet, but do not want to damage the leather. Could anyone recommend anything else that I could try?

Here is what you get-go to furnitureclinic.com for leather stain removal. This stuff is great, and it goes along way for $14.95
Removing body oils from leather
Step 1
Put cornstarch on the stain.
Step 2
Leave on overnight.
Step 3
Clean with leather soap and warm water.
Sometimes if you let a nice thick coating of a basic white baby powder (unscented, uncolored talc) sit on the stain over night (cover with a white clothe) it will come up.
If it doesn't, I suggest calling the manufacturer and asking what they recommend. Perhaps they have some special cleaner that works on their product!
Post back what you learn.
You can try a leather fabric cleaner to start off with. However, I think cornstarch and leather soap work better. My dad had a leather chair and when he got sick we had to clean the stains off the chair and cornstarch seemed to work best for us.
Thank you for your suggestion I will be trying Cornstarch this week
