Removing Candle Wax From Furniture

I accidentally spilled hot wax (from a candle) on my dresser and wall. How can I clean this up and not leave a mess? Thanks.

Yes, I've used a brown paper bag and an iron. You may have to do it a few times to get it all up. (04/19/2009)
