How do I remove cooked on candy from the cooking pot?
Linda from AL
You could try sprinkling Bon Ami over the hard candy. Sprinkle a small amount of water on the powder to make a paste. Then, let it sit for a few hours or overnight.
A small, sharp knife may be needed to wedge the hardened pieces off the pot surface. A scouring probably will get the rest off.
Hope this helps.
Just fill the pot with water. The sugar will melt. You can heat it to speed it up, or if it's got fat in it, like milk or butter. It will come right out.
I've always had luck with filling the pot with hot water and letting it sit overnight. Good luck!
Put 1/2 cup of vinegar in the pot and add enough water to cover the area you are trying to clean off. Put it on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
Fill the pot with water then add a TON of dish soap leave sit there for awhile, should dissolve in a couple of minuets
