I'm new here and am looking for some help removing crayon and marker on my unfinished dresser. I tried a piece of sandpaper a while back but it just left scratches. Maybe I need a special kind of sandpaper?
Have you tried a Mr. Clean magic erase sponge? You'd be amazed at what that thing will erase!
Not sure about the marker, but WD40 works wonders on crayon marks...good luck!

My kids have a blonde wood window seat in their room that is not lacquered. They have written and drawn all over it with crayons and pen. How can I remove the "art"?
It will have to be refinished. I'd suggest getting it completely sanded down, sealed, then lacquered so it can be wiped off.
