Do you have any ideas as to what will take decals off the outside of a motorhome? We are wanting to put new ones on but can't get the decals and glue off.
100% razor blade and wd-40. A razorblade used carefully will get rid of the majority of the actual sticker. The wd-40 will get rid of the glue and gunk left behind.
There is a product called Goo-Gone. You can get it at Walmart or any of those stores. I think in the cleaning aisle. It is made to take off any kind of stickers, gum, tar, crayon, etc. It's an orange colored liquid.
The best thing i have ever used is called Goof Off you can find it in your local Lowe's or Home Depot.. That stuff is incredible..
Mayo works good too, as long as it's not a hot day, slap it on and it helps sticky things come off. That and a Mr. Clean eraser to clean up the last pieces. Good luck with whatever you choose!
Heat the decal with a hair dryer. The decal pulls off easily afterwards.
Remove as much as you can (carefully) with a sharp knife. Then spray on some WD-40 and wait a few minutes.

Nailpolish remover also works quite well, particularly if you can figure out how to soak the area and keep it soaked for half an hour or so.

Soak them with WD-40 Do it two or three times and they will peel off - a hairdrier helps as well.
There will be fading under the decal
I always reach for Avon Skin So Soft to get decals, tags etc. off. If that does not work, for some unknown reason, WD40 is said to work for things like that.
Try a small spot with WD40 I have had good luck removing the gum that stickers leave
thank you all for your responses. The hot vinegar worked very well. Also there is a spray called gasket remover in the automotive section that works very well but you can't leave it on to long or it will take the paint off.
Heating and using of chemicals can be risky as there are chances for the paint getting spoilt if the paintwork is a re-spray (if the paintwork is a factory finish then chemicals are usually fine). Few days back I visited a website decalstickerremover.com/
