I splashed diesel on my Nike shoes. I can't get the odor out.

A diesel trucker's wife uses Baby Wipes! She lays them in the shoes, trunk, floor mat, closet, drawer, wherever and they absorb the odor. Also wipe the shoe or boot down with them. If shoes are washable, use 3 Mule Borax or "Pink Stuff" (found at automotive stores).

How do I remove diesel fuel from boots?
Sally from Westminster, CA
After stepping in diesel fuel at a gas pump (I thought it was regular gas), I checked your site for how to get it off the bottom of my suede boots. I put baking soda on the soles and then placed them on paper towels that I put a coating of baking soda on. I let them set there and checked for smell every week or so.
