Removing Dye That Transferred in the Wash

I just washed a new set of Mizuno Drylite material (maroon and white). I washed them in my cold care cycle, hot water turned off and the maroon color faded onto the white, which is now a slight pinkish color. Can I get the white to be white again? What can I do to prevent running of new uniforms
