Removing Fabric Dye That Transferred in the Wash?

I washed my daughter's new white jeans in alongside a pink face cloth. The jeans are pink. Please help, she is gonna kill me.

Rit brand makes a color remover. My husband turned my favorite sweatshirt pink once, and I washed it with the Rit color remover (making sure to follow directions), and my sweatshirt came out great!

Have you tried sending them through another wash with some bleach? I just got a load of socks and undies white again (had also been pink from a sweatshirt someone threw in without my knowing - grrr!) by using bleach. Dilute it well in the wash water before you put the jeans into the washer.

Everyone makes mistakes - if my daughter would throw a fit about something like this she'd be taking over full responsibility for her own laundry immediately and permanently.
