Removing Gel Ink Stains on Clothing?

I often fall asleep without warning. Before realizing how to avoid this problem, I fell asleep a number of times with black, blue, or red gel ink pens that would fall to my clothing once asleep. I now have huge gel ink blobs on several pairs of PJs, slacks, and tops (variety of fabrics). Most stains are silver dollar size and dense with gel ink from pen tip remaining in one spot over period of several hours. Any tips on removal? Thanks!

Not sure if this will work or not, but try using glycerin on the stains. It works like magic on getting out all traces ball point ink stains (even old, set-in ones that have been given up on). Glycerin is a clear liquid that is available in a small bottle in the pharmacy section at Wal-mart and most other pharmacies. Best of luck to you!
