Of course, we all know that bleach does a great job of getting rid of mold from any surface, but if you don't want that surface discolored (like carpeting, decking etc.), use vinegar. This will take the mold out without any discoloration!

And using vinegar against mold is safer than using bleach. The bleach and mold react to form a gas that does serious damage to your lungs that doesn't show up for years, while vinegar and mold simply combine to equal dead mold.
I saw on the history channel "Rich's Restoration" and he talked about using vinegar to take off any thing and clean it as a brand new item
