So my mother has this old book and the cover/casing is not a plastic or paper covering. My little brother got Sharpie on the book and I need help getting it off. Are there any ways to remove marker from such a cover? I attached a picture of the (unharmed) exterior of the book. Any advice is very welcome.

Rub a dry erase marker over it.
