Removing Polyurethane from Shoes
Step 1
Carefully scrape to remove excess polyurethane .
Step 2
Mix a solution of mild soap in lukewarm water.
Step 3
Mix to create a lot of suds.
Step 4
Apply only the foam with a sponge. Dry with a clean cloth.
Step 5
If the polyurethane has hardened, gently rub it with an emery board or a piece of fine sandpaper.
Step 6
As a thin layer of the shoe leather will also be removed, work slowly and lightly.

Hope it is an easy fix!! These are great boots!
Hi,
I would use sandpaper to grind it off the boots. Watch out that you don't inhale any of it as it comes off the boots. Scrape the rest off with a plastic spatula or ruler.
