Pour white vinegar on it, then blot with a clean rag.
Don't try bleaching the stain with chlorine bleach this will only spread the stain and can turn your curtain yellow. Here is the simplest way to remove your stain.
First remove as much of the rust stain as possible before you start the treatment.
Second, squeeze some lemon juice on the stain to thoroughly saturate it.
Nylon is a delicate fabric so try not to rub anymore than necessary. You can use lemon or white vinegar in the same way. Saturate a cotton ball or small cloth with either and dab the spot; cover with salt and let it rest for 30 minutes. Check to see progress and either leave longer or add more and wait. Some recommend putting it in the sunshine but be careful as this can fade some fabric. They also make a rust remover product that works well and can be found in most supermarkets in the cleaning isle (brown bottle).
Try diluted white vinegar with a soft sponge. Don't rub it in.
