I just purchased some Wilton cake decorating tips and had them soaking in water, causing them to rust a little. How do I remove that rust so that I could still use them?

Maybe try a little baking soda/water paste and rub on it. I've used this paste to remove rust from my kitchen sink and other places and it works pretty well. Melissa
Soak them in vinegar for an hour and then scrub them with baking soda or toothpaste. If it doesn't work, try CLR (calcium, lime, rust remover) which you can get at most hardware stores and some grocery stores. Good luck.
Are you sure they were soaking only in water? I've had wilton tips that I've used for 38 years and they've not rusted. My aunt did wedding cakes professionally for decades and I don't remember her tips ever rusting.
Dont listen to this lady! Don't throw them away and be part of the disposable culture, restore them and Keep then for years!
