Removing Scorched Milk from Pan?

I've got scorched milk on my pan. Can you use Clorox? Or what is the best way to take it off?

I would not use clorox. What type of pan is it?? stainless? teflon? I would boil water in it to soften it up, then use a scrubber on it.
