I was able to remove Sharpie permanent marker from faux leather using WD-40. It came off super easy and didn't damage the finish. Good luck.

Excellent suggestion my 2 yr old just finished her art work on an antique piece of furniture (wooden) with a gold permanent marker and the WD 40 worked like magic. No stains and was removed effortlessly. Thank you for that suggestion.
I used high quality peppermint essential oil on a tan leather couch. It removed black sharpie. Test in an inconspicuous area to be sure. I applied it with a Q-tip to the first mark and it worked! I then spilled on an area with a lot of marks and let it sit for a few minutes. I rubbed in a circular pattern with a paper towel to remove.
THAT WAS AMAZING
Bought a used, insulated lunch bag, very cute, but it had a name written inside with permanent marker. Used the WD-40 and the blue marker came off pretty easily. Left no residue or stain. Very happy with results! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for the suggestion. It worked better than I expected it to. Again thank you for posting your suggestion. It came off effortlessly.
WD-40 worked perfectly on the inside of my car door that had been written on with permanent black pen
