I used a purple Sharpie to dye the ends of my hair. My hair is a natural blonde and the Sharpie has stained my hair. I've tried the hairspray trick, washing-up liquid, and a hair colour remover, none have worked. My hair is very fine so I don't want to use anything too harmful to prevent breakage. If anybody could help? My hair is short so I can't cut it until it grows more. Thank you! :)

You may be able to try some baking soda to get it out. Normally when you put sharpie in the hair it stains the hair and does not come out unless you cut your hair off. In some cases you may be able to remove some of the color with some lime juice, or try some dandruff shampoo or some vinegar to get it out.
There are some solutions on Google
You could try:
- Wipe hair with hairspray soaked cloth
- Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo
Also, as a tip to use acetone-based fingernail polish remover and wipe individual hair strand but I would not try that.
This is news to me. I did not know that Sharpie dyed hair permanently like this!
Acetone (IE nail polish remover) is an excellent go-to remover not just of paint and dyes but sticky chemical residues.
As well maybe some good old fashined hydrogen peroxide might work. As well, why not hair bleach?
Someone on ThriftyFun had this problem and she confirmed nail polish remover worked:
