I ironed a garment on my boss's red formica desk and it left white steam stains. Any ideas as to how to polish out these stains?

Make a paste of baking soda and lay it on the stains. Hopefully it will be removed.
Can you eloborate on how to remove the white steam stains from Formica counter tops. My husband heated food in a plastic container in the microwave n sat it on my countertop n I cannot get the impression of the bowl out of my counter top
By far the best and easiest solution is the ironing method. Dampen a smooth dish towel place it over the white stain and watch it disappear. I tried the baking soda and vinegar - did not work; tried the magic eraser - did not work; tried ironing it away and within a few swipes of my iron it was completely gone.
I tried putting a baking soda paste on the stain. I covered it with a damp cloth overnight. In the morning I gently rubbed the paste with the cloth and when I cleared it away the stain was completely gone. Thank you!
PS Take some time to research all of the benefits of baking soda - it's amazing.
Put a towel over the stain and using your iron on the towel use steam and hold it on for 20 second intervals until gone.
You can also try mixing baking soda and turning it into a paste.Scrub off marks with a cloth.
