I embroidered dozens of fleece blankets for the first time. Not realizing it would be a problem I used Sulky type adhesive stabilizer. Now it's not coming off! Because of the color of the blankets I don't want to try Goo Gone or anything that may fade it. Please help! (Usually, I can wet the stabilizer and remove it, but not this time. I have a huge mess!)

I had an issue with the sulky on net and used plain old rubbing alcohol and it removed all the yuck. Test it on an inconspicuous place as it may not work with the fleece like it did with my net fiasco. Hope you have luck like I did on this one!
If this is iron on, it might be the cause of the problem. Tear-away is better. Contact the company here

Do you feel the Goo Gone will run the colors?
Have you tried using Goo Gone on one blanket to see what happens?
I have used it on shirts and then covered the spot with Dawn, washed in warm water and the Goo Gone was gone and no color run.
Since your blankets are fleece, I'm not sure that would work but I did read a suggestion to try a vinegar solution.
"Warm water, liquid dish soap and vinegar is a common formula for removing sticky glues."
Fleece is not something I have worked with so not sure what you can use as some products may damage the fleece.
