Here is what to do:
1. Soak the entire area with Hydrogen Peroxide
2. Sprinkle area well with bicarb of soda.
3. Leave this overnight.
4. Vacuum the area well the next day.
The bicarb soaks up the peroxide as well as taking up the smell.
Will the peroxide fade the carpet?
wont the peroxide bleach my carpet
I find Nature's Remedy to be very effective on both human and animal urine.
Hi. Do you have a link for Natures Remedy and a phone number? Thank you!
This information is from a national site for caretakers:
Mix up a solution of 1 ½ cups of warm water with ½ cup white vinegar. Saturate, let sit for five minutes, and blot dry. Next sprinkle the stain with baking soda. Then mix up ¾ cup peroxide with 1tsp dishsoap, stir gently and drizzle it over the soda. Massage the soda thoroughly into the carpet. Wash your nasty hands. Let it dry completely (may take overnight) and vacuum up the soda.
Here is also a link that basically gives the same suggestion.

Our local nursing home uses urine-ease and OdorZyme.
I have always used white vinegar mixed with water. Pour a little on the stain. Work the solution into the carpet using a bristle brush. Let the solution dry overnight. The next morning add baking soda to the area and let sit for 1/2 hour.
Pull the carpet out or steam it with dish washing liquid with bleach in it and hot water.
