I wanted to do a project using the ribbon film from my old VHS tapes, the only problem is that there are around 100 tapes. Does anyone know a fast way to get the ribbon out?

You can go outside and pound the tapes with a hammer
When we were still using a VCR, I'd occasionally have a tape that would break off the spindle. I'd take the tape apart with a tiny screwdriver from a glasses repair kit, retape the broken beginning to the spindle, and then put the whole thing back together.
If you do that, and leave the cover open, the tape should easily unwind. I'm saving a lot of mine to crochet something.
I don't think there's any quick way to do it. You either have to pound them or undo a screw like the others said
another way is to break off the movable plastic part in the back, grab the tape (it will then be visible after you do this, like with cassette tapes) and pull the sucker out till it pull no more, then cut off. YOu will lose some at the spool but should be able to get most of it
