I received a free glider rocking chair for a church nursery. One of the cam bolts is coming out. In order to assess whether or not it needs to just be tightened or replaced, I need to be able to remove it and reinstall the screws. However, the bottom leg is blocking access to the head of the bolt with a socket wrench, and the clearance between the moving parts is too narrow to secure the middle of the bolt to keep it from moving when I try to remove the bolt with an adjustable wrench. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you could try to put some WD-40 on it. That way it may loosen up enough that someone with a small hand could get in there.
We have something that looks like this to get into narrow crevices:

Ours is super old, and has a few head sizes..this one looks like a newer version. Maybe some one has one you can borrow.
Thank you! This should solve accessing the bolt. I might try holding the inner nut with needle nose pliers. Unless theres another tool less than 1/4 inch that can access the nut.
Post back to let me know what works! Hopefully you can borrow one of the tools so you don't have to spend money!
Thank you so much! The flex handle socket driver did the trick. I was able to get the bolt out with just a bit of paint scraping.
That is awesome news!!! Happy fixing! Post back a photo of the finished product! So excited to have been able to help!
