How do I remove a dent or crease from a patent leather sneaker (retro Air Jordan 11s)? It was not made by me, but is a factory defect.

Just remember that patent leather is plastic - not leather so do not try the suggestions that say "leather" - make sure the instructions are for patent leather.
Did you buy these at a discount because of the dent/crease? If not then you should return them - but if you try some method and it damages the shoe you will not be able to return them.
Suggestions for patent leather:
Take the shoes to a good shoe repair shop and let them fix it.
Stuff shoe with paper (works better then plastic bags) and use a hair dryer on hot cycle for no more than 30 seconds at a time.
A wooden shoe stretcher might work if shoe is left in the hot sun for a few hours.
Patent leather is indeed leather. It is a fine grain leather that is treated to give it a glossy appearance. Various topical treatments can be used to achieve this effect one being a plastic type substance but regardless it is genuine leather. You can also have a coated canvas usually used for purses and some shoes. Maybe you are thinking of Pleather-the fake leather.

It should have never made it past inspection. I would take a picture and send it to Air Jordan.
