Try hair spray or a magic eraser on an inconspicuous spot first.
you can try apple cider vinegar or goo gone
Rubbing alcohol works great on ink stains. Just try it on a spot that won't show if it also removes color from the purse.
I'm assuming this is not an authentic Coach purse but it doesn't matter as vinyl is still vinyl.
Of course, if it is a Coach purse then you should check out local stores that sell Coach as they sometimes offer a free cleaning service. High end stores also sell a Coach bag cleaner and it is very good.
First things first:
If ink has been on the purse for a long time it will usually be more difficult to remove.
If it is gel ink instead of ballpoint it will be even more difficult to remove and may not come off completely.
The most important first step in trying any product is to find an inconspicuous spot to try first. You have to wait about 30 minutes after cleaning the spot to be sure it will not fade or ruin your bag.
Try to follow directions to a T.
Most people start with using hair spray but not everybody has hair spray available anymore.
If you have it then after testing you can spray some hair spray directly on the ballpoint ink stain.
Wait a few minutes while the vinyl absorbs the hair spray, but Do NOT let it dry.
Rub the spot gently with a soft cloth.
Spray the stain again with the hairspray if it has not completely disappeared.
The second most popular way seems to be with finger nail polish remover and it can be used in the same manner as hair spray.
