I have a elderly neighbor, a widow, whose house and yard are in a lot of need. I do what I can for her, but I can't roof or saw down trees. I was just taking a chance, to see if she can get help. I have only talked to her about 4 x's. I really hope you can point me to help. TY

I don't have an exact answer for you, but I would suggest you check with the city in which this lady lives. Many cities have Habitat programs offering no interest loans and forgivable loans to those who qualify. These loans allocate funds for bringing homes from a substandard level to one which meets all present city codes.
If the house is in truly bad shape, the lady may qualify for an emergency forgivable loan, which would cover major items such as a new roof, at no cost to her.
