I have a Husqvarna Rose 600. The needle is in line with the stitch plate, but the presser foot is off by 1/32 to 1/16 of an inch. I believe I have a shaft problem. I possibly moved it by accidentally hitting a pin. When the needle comes down, it is not in line with center of the foot. Is there something I can do myself to fix this problem? My dealer is an hour away and would probably charge me $100 or so, and have the machine for a week or two.

You probably have to reset the timing. You could write to the company's customer service or call them. From what I understand, however, the repair can be complicated.
My machine is a simple old Kenmore, but when I had issues with the presser foot not seating right, I found the connector screw was bent just slightly. That was a cheap and easy fix and the machine is still going strong after 40+ years. I don't know your machine...but sometimes it is something that simple that causes the most issues.
That said, if it is something more complicated, there are some Google groups that talk about your particular machine...the one link is groups.google.com/
Or maybe the Husqvarna customer services folks could give you some troubleshooting hints BEFORE you have to make the trek and be machineless.
Maybe someone with the same issue can share their solution.
