I love my brown vinyl barstools, but they are peeling on the front of the seat. How can I repair the vinyl? The rest of the stool is fine.

There are several vinyl repair kits available at local hardware stores and Amazon.
I never had luck with repair kits. For small issues my dad used to use duct tape, but that was always for black items, not brown. I have successfully removed old vinyl if there are Staples or screws and purchased yards of new vinyl and replaced the old.
If you really like your stools, I would suggest you check out what a professional will charge to replace the covers as most likely all of the vinyl is getting some wear and may need more repairs later. I have never seen nice looking vinyl repairs but maybe??
I would be willing to bet you could pick out some really updated nice looking vinyl or fabric and maybe not spend a fortune.
If you are intent on repairing, I would suggest you visit an auto parts store as they will have the best selection of repair kits.
All you need to do is to apply a repair patch to the tear. I suggest that you use the repair tape brand called "fixmytear" (www.fixmytear.com) since it is super strong and lasts a long time.
