There are threads jamming your machine. Clean out build up, re-thread reboot(turn off then on).Check bobbin housing, clean out. Now try!
I'm not familiar with this machine but here are suggestions from other users:
"Either you just need to lower your presser foot, or youve either damaged the presser foot microswitch or the wires that connect this microswitch to the main PCB. E1 indicates that the presser foot is up when you try to start sewing. Another thing that can trigger E1 is if you hold down the foot control or the start/stop button as you turn the machine on."
"Q: What does E1 error message mean?
A: An operation has been performed incorrectly
Q: How to fix E1 error message?
A: Lower the presser foot lever before continuing operation. If the error message has not disappeared, press the stitch selection key while the error message is displayed."
